(Scheggi + Scheggi 1966 La Biennale di Venezia / Art Basel 2015)

The first of the two volumes dedicated to the works of Paolo Scheggi (Scheggi + Scheggi 1966 La Biennale di Venezia / Art Basel 2015), has been presented on the occasion of the exhibition of four works by the artist for Art Basel – Basel 2015. This is the first time since the 1966 Venice Biennale that four Intersuperfici have been shown together.
The book is enriched with a number of texts by eminent critics such as Gillo Dorfles, Germano Celant, Nello Ponente and Umbro Apollonio celebrating the artistic ferment of the period, and with images of Julio Le Parc, Lucio Fontana, Agostino Bonalumi and other leading figures of the 1966 Biennale.

The second volume (Scheggi) (presented on the occasion of the exhibition dedicated to Paolo Scheggi by Tornabuoni Art gallery) seeks to outline Scheggi’s extraordinary, interdisciplinary artistic explorations, starting with his early work in the 1950s to his last conceptual and metaphysical directions in the early 1970s.
The artworks, actions, performances, environments and other works by Scheggi published here are supported by technical descriptions, notes on their location at the moment of publication, and the statute of the Associazione Paolo Scheggi.
