Forma Edizioni inaugurates a new architecture series entitled Progressive. Sections on Italian Architecture, a publishing project that aims to highlight the multiplicities of contemporary Italian architecture. The series, directed by architect Maurizio Carones, aims to dedicate small monographs to the most interesting Italian professionals, a series of agile bilingual volumes that identify examples of qualified design efforts. Each one contains essays, project sheets and apparatuses, to succinctly put in order the complex research and professional work of each protagonist. The first volume is devoted to the work of the Alvisi Kirimoto firm, active in the often interconnected fields of architecture, urban planning and design. The texts, edited by Valerio Paolo Mosco, include an introductory essay, fact sheets of projects selected between 2012 and 2025 and informative apparatuses that illustrate the great quality of one of the most interesting design offices on the contemporary Italian scene.
Maurizio Carones practices as an architect in Milan. He is Adjunct Professor of Architecture and Architectural Composition at the Milan Polytechnic and has published studies on contemporary architecture and the city. He is editor of the publishing series Itineraries of Milanese Architecture. Modern Architecture as a Description of the City, published by the Foundation of the Order of Architects P.P.C. of Milan.
