TRIBUTE. ARCHITECTURE AS A FORM OF DIALOGUE. Second edition

Every piece of architecture has the power to encapsulate within itself many different desires, transforming the built space into a living organism that evolves with us over time, influencing our lives and worldviews, as well as the lives of the communities that will see it, pass through it, and inhabit it in ever-changing ways.

The clients’ words resonate, through a system of reflections and harmonies, with the world of Archea—one of the Italian firms with the most offices and branches worldwide—with its working methodology, its key figures, its obsessions, and its relationship with a distinctively Italian approach to design. These have become defining elements of the maturity of the Florentine firm founded by Laura Andreini, Marco Casamonti, and Giovanni Polazzi, joined by Silvia Fabi in 2001 when Archea Associati was founded.

The dialogues revealed fragments of the clients’ personalities and the economic and urban history of the buildings they commissioned, but they also addressed some of the most pressing issues facing contemporary architectural culture: the environmental and energy conversion of structures, regeneration as an urgent necessity, and reflection on the significance of building new metropolitan landmarks and new landscapes today.

The book Tribute. Architecture as a Form of Dialogue is now in its second edition, featuring two new projects that enrich the panorama of clients in dialogue with the firm.

The monograph is published on the occasion of the exhibition held at the Aedes Gallery in Berlin (Christinenstr. 18–19, 10119 Berlin) from May 16 to June 24 2026.
