In a time when noise and confusion caused by an excess of information are overwhelming and invasive, imagining a new magazine necessarily means defining a clear editorial direction and an open dialogue with the communities involved. The publication “Arkitime”, curated by Luca Molinari Studio and sponsored by Knauf, is a bookzine aimed at architects and design enthusiasts with a curious eye toward the culture of design. Its purpose is to offer a tool to resist the easy consumption of editorial products offered by the market, providing a few clear elements that define the identity of the editorial project.

Each issue will focus on a specific Italian city and an architecture studio closely tied to that city through its history and development. Italy’s urban system is viewed as an extraordinary living design laboratory, constantly evolving thanks to its communities and their changing needs. The first stop of this new project is Florence, featuring the studio MARCO CASAMONTI / ARCHEA ASSOCIATI.

The “Arkitime” project features graphic design by Bianca Fabbri and Simone Bastianelli, and each issue will feature a unique illustrated cover created by a commissioned illustrator or artist. The first issue’s cover is by Matteo Pericoli, who offers his “portrait of a city” through a blend of past and present elements intertwined in a variable narrative.
