From April 9 to April 25, 2026, Rifugio Digitale presents Latent Rooms, a solo exhibition by Francesco D’Isa that explores new expressive thresholds generated by the encounter between human imagination and artificial intelligence. The exhibition, curated by Serena Tabacchi with artistic direction by Laura Andreini, is produced with the support of FinecoBank and in collaboration with Forma Edizioni.
The opening will take place on Thursday, April 9 at 6.30 PM, preceded by a press preview scheduled for 6.00 PM.
The works composing the exhibition path of Latent Rooms take shape as a visual poetry born from a dialogical process with generative AI. In this research, the source images arise from a layering of diff erent models, deliberately induced to deviate from their original intention and pushed toward the generation of error. The aesthetic result is never fully predetermined: it is precisely in this unpredictability that the substance of D’Isa’s method resides, where the artist’s control gives way to a co-creation with the machine.
