The volume, curated by Bruno Corà and the Archivio Vincenzo Agnetti, was conceived in dialogue with the exhibition held at the Archivio Vincenzo Agnetti (open to the public starting June 25). It retraces, through works and documents, the network of relationships, friendships, and collaborations that Agnetti built between the late 1950s and early 1980s. A story made up of profound and often invisible exchanges, yet essential for understanding his artistic journey.
As Bruno Corà emphasizes, for Agnetti, “working together was a political act”—a statement of intent that places art at the center as a collective and civic practice.
The book highlights this “relational” aspect of his research through collaborations with figures such as Manzoni, Castellani, Colombo, Scheggi, Parmiggiani, Boetti, and Arakawa. It is also the result of a concrete collaboration between archives, testifying to the ongoing value of working together.

As part of the book presentation, there will be a virtual reality experience using VR headsets to explore two previously unseen works: Il Tempio. La nascita dell’Eidos, co-created by Vincenzo Agnetti and Paolo Scheggi, and Il Labirinto by Piero Manzoni, both of which were never realized until now.
These two experiences are part of the project Today is not Today, a platform that promotes the cultural and educational use of new technologies applied to art. The initiative is produced by Scena Urbana, with scientific direction by philosopher and media theorist Marco Senaldi and project management by Valerio Borgonuovo, an innovation educator.
