Monograph edited by Bruno Corà, with essays by Marco Tonelli and Giovanna Coltelli, dedicated to the Sicilian artist Vittorio Messina, that creates “works that are mainly arrangements of objects within a site (naturally a mental site, in the form of an experiment, but a work site all the same). In fact, he often uses the space he is assigned (museum sites and settings) as a kind of ready-made impersonal space, creating inside it his own personal (non)habitat, which in turn, forms a relationship with the assigned space” (Marco Tonelli).

The artist Vittorio Messina graduated from the Valle Giulia Faculty of Architecture in Rome, and has always been attached to forms and materials linked with architecture.

His work is the evocative landscape of a different form of expression, a contemporary scene that is often superimposed over existing landscapes, from which certain elements are torn away to form part of Messina’s work: the dimension of the irrational, the unfounded, the unusable.
